This course is designed to help adult foster care employees meet minimum standards related to reporting requirements. The course discusses reporting procedures regarding incidents, accidents, illnesses, absences and death.   In addition, this course provides the definition of abuse, neglect, exploitation and mandatory reporters.   It also discusses the required elements of an incident report as well as best practices for completing incident reports.

Personal Care, Protection and Supervision for AFC Homes

This course is designed to help adult foster care employees meet training requirements related to personal care, protection and supervision.  The course provides an overview of important licensing rules related to personal care, protection and supervision for family group homes as well as small and large group homes.  Additional course content will reference licensing technical assistance manuals, emergency preparedness best practices as developed by the AFC Council, information on hyper and hypothermia as well as the AFC Facility Licensing Act, Public Act 218 of 1979.
