Medication Administration for HFA

This course is designed to help home for the aged employees meet minimum standards related to medication training.  The course provides an overview of licensing requirements related to medication administration as well as the proper handling of medications during medication administration.  It incorporates the six rights of medication passing; proper hand washing;how to properly measure liquids; how to properly apply transdermal patches; and how to properly handle and administer insulin, nasal sprays, inhalers and nebulizers.

Reporting Requirements for HFA

This course is designed to help home for the aged employees meet minimum standards related to reporting requirements.  The course discusses reporting procedures regarding incidents, accidents, illnesses, absences and death.   In addition, this course provides the definition of abuse, neglect, exploitation and mandatory reporters.   It also discusses the reportable events as well as best practices for completing incident reports.
